Discord bot and server plugin for Minecraft

Your Minecraft server, inside Discord

MC-Sync brings server status, chat, whitelist and commands into your Discord server — and Discord chat back into the game. No open port, no RCON, and nobody has to live in alt-tab.

Connected in three steps

Status, charts and embeds work with the bot alone. You only need the plugin once chat should travel in both directions.

  1. 1

    Invite the bot

Add it to your Discord server through the invite link. It asks only for the permissions it needs for channels, webhooks and messages.

  2. 2

    Run /setup

One command that walks you through the setup and asks exactly one question per step: pick a channel, pick a type, done.

  3. 3

    Connect the plugin

Drop the jar into plugins or mods, put the token from /chat-sync add into config.yml, restart. The connection is made by your server, outbound — you do not have to open anything.

Every step is written out in full: go to the guides

What the bot does

The five features that run most often in practice. Each one links to its syntax in the command reference.

/status

Check a server without launching the game

Give it an address and the bot answers with reachability, MOTD, version, edition and player count. Java and Bedrock both; where one address serves both, the edition option decides. Store a server once with /default-ip set and /status needs no address at all.

/chat-sync

Minecraft chat and a Discord channel, both directions

Messages from the game land in the channel, messages from the channel land in the game. Joins, deaths and advancements can be switched on and off separately. Your server opens the connection, not the bot — no port forwarding, no password stored anywhere.

/diagram

Player numbers over time

A chart of the player count over a range you choose — 3h, 2d, 1w or 3m. The bot records the state of every queried server every thirty seconds, and the chart is drawn from that history.

/voice-channel

Voice channels that carry the status in their name

A voice channel whose name shows status, player count or version. It sits at the top of the channel list without anyone running a command. Discord limits how often a channel may be renamed, so the bot refreshes them roughly every 25 minutes.

/embed

Embeds that update themselves

One message in the channel, rewritten every five minutes — as a status overview, as the whitelist, or as a chart. It stays where it is instead of filling the channel with repeats.

Trying it costs nothing

The bot is free, and everything that needs no change on your Minecraft server works the moment it joins.
