Scope and contracting parties

These terms apply between you as the user and the provider named in the legal notice for the use of the bot, the plugin, the monitoring feature and the dashboard (“the service”). Deviating terms apply only where we have expressly agreed to them.

The service is aimed at consumers (§ 13 BGB) as well as at traders (§ 14 BGB). Where these terms distinguish between the two, that is stated.

The service is provided free of charge. Because you provide personal data in order to use it, the provisions on contracts for digital products (§§ 327 et seq. BGB) apply accordingly where you are a consumer (§ 327 (3) BGB).

What the service does

The service connects a Minecraft server with a Discord server. Depending on the configuration, that includes:

  • querying and displaying the server state, including continuously in channel names and displays
  • relaying chat and events between Minecraft and Discord through the plugin
  • Managing the whitelist including applications, linking accounts, role and rank synchronisation
  • alerts on outages — in Discord or, entirely without Discord, by email, push or webhook
  • Server commands, buttons, schedules, flows (automation) and a live console in the dashboard
  • A public status page and a server directory, where the server staff release the server

Which of these functions are available may change. The scope follows from the description current at the time on this website and in the bot itself; no quality beyond that is agreed.

The service is free. Donations — for example through “Buy a coffee” — are voluntary, do not create a claim to any particular service and do not buy preferential treatment.

Conclusion of contract and requirements

The usage contract comes about when you invite the bot to a Discord server, use it, sign in to the dashboard or set up a watch. There is no registration with a password; the dashboard sign-in runs through Discord.

You need a Discord account and must comply with Discord’s terms, including the minimum age applying there. If you have limited legal capacity, you need the agreement of your parents or guardians; consent to data processing is valid for people under 16 only with their agreement.

Anyone who sets the bot up on a Discord server warrants that they are entitled to do so and acts, in that respect, also on behalf of the server staff.

Discord rules

The service runs on Discord and is subject to the Discord Developer Terms of Service and the Discord Developer Policy. Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines (discord.com/terms, discord.com/guidelines) apply to you alongside these terms. You may not use the service to violate them, nor to circumvent restrictions Discord has placed on your account or server.

The bot accesses message content only in the channels the server staff have set up for it, and otherwise only to protect against leaked connection tokens. Data from Discord is used exclusively for the service and is neither sold nor used to train AI models. Details are in the privacy policy: mc-sync.eu/en/privacy-policy#discord-daten

If Discord changes its terms or interfaces, withdraws permissions from the bot or requires data to be deleted, this may restrict or end individual features. We have no influence over this; we will inform you as far as we are able.

Obligations for the individual functions

The boxes below state, for each function, what you have to make sure of and what we promise for it — and what we do not.

Account and use

Your part
You use the service for yourself or for a Discord server you are entitled to act for, and you provide accurate information. Automated bulk queries are not permitted.
Our promise
We provide the basic functions and may limit the number of requests where one account starts to affect the headroom of other users.

AI chat (“McAsk”)

Your part
You stay within the number of requests shown and do not circumvent the limit. Input aimed at criminal content, at obtaining data unlawfully or at bypassing safeguards is not permitted.
Our promise
We provide the function in whatever state it is currently available. We give no warranty as to the accuracy of the answers — more on that in the section on artificial intelligence.

Server status

Your part
Where a piece of information matters to you, check it against the server itself if in doubt.
Our promise
Information about the server state comes from cached queries and can briefly be out of date. There is no real-time guarantee.

Alerts in Discord

Your part
You set up channels and roles so that the bot may post there, and you keep that setup current.
Our promise
We send alerts as soon as we detect an outage. We do not promise delivery within any particular time; the monitoring feature is no substitute for monitoring with an availability guarantee.

Monitoring by email, push or webhook

Your part
You only enter delivery channels that are yours. Entering someone else’s email address is not permitted; every channel is confirmed before the first alert.
Our promise
We deliver alerts over the channel you chose for as long as it is confirmed and reachable. If delivery keeps failing, we switch the channel off.

Server list

Your part
You enter accurate server details (address, edition) and keep them up to date when they change.
Our promise
We use the details unchanged for the other commands. They are not verified.

Whitelist

Your part
You only enter names you are responsible for and note that every entry is traceable to your Discord user ID for the rest of the server staff. Anyone submitting an application names only their own Minecraft names; anyone deciding on applications does so on behalf of the server staff and bears responsibility for the decision.
Our promise
We pass the entry on to the Minecraft server and show the server staff what is known about the name of an application. Whether the server accepts the entry and what it does with it is decided by its configuration.

Account link

Your part
You only link accounts that belong to you, and you do not pass the linking code on.
Our promise
We verify the link through the code. There is no identity check beyond that.

Role synchronisation

Your part
The commands you store and their effect on the Minecraft server are your responsibility. Check them before you attach them to a role.
Our promise
We run the stored command when a role changes. We do not answer for its effect on the server.

Flows (automation)

Your part
Flows you create run without further confirmation — at night too, and even when they are faulty. You check them before switching them on, keep within the displayed quotas and do not set up flows that harass third parties, overload other services or pass data on without authorisation, for example via HTTP actions to third-party addresses.
Our promise
We run flows within the quotas and switch them off after repeated failures. We do not vouch for their effect on the server, in Discord or on third parties they address.

Server commands, buttons and schedules

Your part
Server commands, saved buttons and schedules trigger real commands on your Minecraft server. You only grant commands to roles you trust with them, check commands before saving and are responsible for their effect.
Our promise
We hand the command to the server; whether it is executed is decided by its configuration (commands.mode). We keep the output of a command for two days.

Live console and console channel

Your part
The live console and the console channel show the log of your Minecraft server — including other players' data such as names and IP addresses. You make sure that only people who may see this data get access and that the processing on your server is lawful; as server staff you are responsible for that.
Our promise
We show what the server sends for as long as the console is open or the channel is set up, and do not store it in our database.

Public status page and directory

Your part
Whatever you release on a public status page or in the directory can be accessed by anyone. You only release servers you operate or have permission for, and do not use description and tags for unlawful, misleading or promotional content unrelated to the server.
Our promise
We show state, player count, address and the released details and may remove entries that violate these terms. You can withdraw the release at any time.

Alerts and log

Your part
Setting up alert roles, log channels and console channels is a matter for the server staff — as is the question of who may read what becomes visible there.
Our promise
We forward the alerts you configured for as long as the connection exists.

Chat synchronisation

Your part
You, or the respective server staff, are responsible for the content relayed, moderation included. Tell the members on both sides that messages are being relayed.
Our promise
We relay messages as soon as the connection is up. Messages can be lost during a disruption; the relay is not an archive.

Channel names with server data

Your part
You observe the limits Discord places on changes to channel names.
Our promise
We update the names at the intervals Discord allows. After repeated failures the update is suspended.

Buttons

Your part
You use the buttons as intended and do not circumvent cool-downs.
Our promise
We process clicks for as long as the message they belong to is valid.

Default addresses

Your part
Storing the correct default address is up to you.
Our promise
We use the stored address for queries that name none.

Prohibited use

The following is prohibited in particular:

  • use in a way that breaks applicable law or infringes the rights of others
  • spreading illegal content through the chat relay, such as insults, threats, incitement to hatred or content infringing copyright
  • entering false or third-party details, in particular other people’s email addresses, server addresses or Minecraft names
  • circumventing limits, automated querying at scale and any attempt to overload or disrupt the service
  • probing, rebuilding or reusing the interfaces outside their intended use, including passing on connection tokens
  • using the AI chat to generate illegal content or to bypass safeguards
  • commercial exploitation of the service without our prior written consent
  • using the service in violation of Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines or of the Minecraft EULA
  • setting up flows, webhooks or commands that harass third parties, attack other systems or transmit data to third parties without authorisation

In the event of a breach we may block individual functions, remove content or end access. We choose the mildest suitable means and inform you of the measure where that is possible and legally permitted.

Artificial intelligence (“McAsk”)

The answers are generated automatically. They can be incomplete or simply wrong even when they sound convincing. They are not legal, tax or any other professional advice, and you should not act on them without checking — least of all when you go on to run commands on your server.

Answers from the AI chat appear only as a message from the bot and are recognisable as machine-generated for that reason. Do not enter credentials, tokens or particularly sensitive data into the chat.

Which providers are involved and what is transmitted to them is set out in the privacy policy: mc-sync.eu/en/privacy-policy#ki

Content, moderation and reports

The content relayed through the service comes from its users. We do not adopt it as our own and do not search it without cause. Responsibility for content on a Discord or Minecraft server lies first of all with its staff.

Once we become aware of illegal content, we remove it or block access to it. Possible measures are deleting individual content, switching off a connection or suspending access. This information is given pursuant to Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act).

You can report illegal content at any time to [email protected] (notice and action mechanism under Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). So that we can act on a report, it should contain:

  • a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why the content is illegal
  • the exact location of the content — Discord server, channel and message, or the server connection concerned
  • your name and email address, except for reports concerning certain offences against sexual self-determination
  • a confirmation that you believe the information to be accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge

We confirm receipt of a report, decide promptly and communicate our decision together with the reasons for it (Article 16 (5) and Article 17 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). Abusive reports that are manifestly unfounded and submitted repeatedly may be disregarded after a prior warning.

As a micro-enterprise we are not subject to the additional obligations for online platforms under Chapter III, Section 3 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065. Independently of that: if you are affected by a measure and consider it wrong, you can object informally at the same address within six months. We will then review it again and give reasons for the outcome.

Dashboard and connection tokens

The dashboard is open to people who hold the “Manage Server” permission on the Discord server concerned. That permission is checked with Discord afresh on every request; whoever loses it loses access with it.

Changes made through the dashboard take effect directly on your Minecraft server: whitelist entries and commands trigger real server commands. It is your responsibility to be entitled to those interventions and to make sure they are compatible with your server’s rules.

Your changes are recorded with your Discord user ID in the activity log of the respective Discord server, are traceable for the other administrators and are deleted after 90 days.

Availability

We aim for continuous operation but do not owe any particular availability. Maintenance, disruptions at Discord, at the providers of the interfaces we use or at the hosting provider can lead to interruptions. Where possible, we announce planned maintenance on the support server.

To protect operation we may limit the number of requests and temporarily switch off individual functions, in particular during unusual load or after repeated failed attempts.

Updates to the service

We provide the updates necessary to keep the service in conformity with the contract, security updates included, and inform you about them where there is reason to (§ 327f BGB).

For the server plugin, installing the update is up to you. If you do not, we are not liable for defects arising solely from that, provided we informed you about the update and about the consequences of not installing it.

We will inform you in text form in advance of any change that noticeably restricts the service for you, and point out that you may end the contract.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, for fraudulently concealed defects, to the extent of a guarantee given, and under the German Product Liability Act.

In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of material contractual obligations — obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In such cases liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract.

Liability is otherwise excluded. Because the service is provided free of charge, the principles governing gratuitous provision apply in addition (§§ 521, 599 BGB by analogy).

This applies in particular to inaccuracies in status queries, missing or delayed alerts, lost messages in the chat relay, the effect of commands you stored yourself, and content generated by the AI chat. Backing up your server and configuration data is your responsibility.

Indemnification

If you culpably breach obligations under these terms and a third party therefore brings a claim against us, you will indemnify us against those claims and against the necessary costs of legal defence. We will inform you of such a claim without delay, give you the opportunity to comment and will not settle without your agreement. There is no liability on your part beyond this; your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Term and termination

The contract runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time and without giving reasons — by removing the bot from the Discord server, deleting the connection in the dashboard or using the unsubscribe link in an alert. You can additionally delete your own data completely in the dashboard under “My data”.

We may terminate the contract on 30 days’ notice in text form, for instance if we discontinue the service. The right to terminate for good cause — in particular in the event of a serious or repeated breach of these terms — remains unaffected.

After the bot is removed from a Discord server, its data is deleted after 30 days; otherwise the periods in the privacy policy apply. Save whatever you want to keep beforehand.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms where there is an objective reason to — a change in the law or in case law, new functions, or requirements of the providers we use. We will inform you of a change at least six weeks before it takes effect, in text form or through a clear notice within the service.

If you do not object before it takes effect, the change is deemed accepted; we will point this consequence out separately in the notice. If you do object, the contract ends at that point without any disadvantage to you. Changes affecting the balance between performance and consideration cannot be made this way.

Third-party services

The service accesses offerings of third parties. Their own terms apply between you and these providers; we cannot agree to them on your behalf and have no influence over them. mc-api.bisai.dev is operated by the same provider as this service; the terms published there apply to its use.

Breaches of these providers’ terms that occur while using our service are your responsibility. If such a service fails or changes its terms, that may limit the usability of individual functions.

Rights in content

The rights in the content you relay stay with you. You merely grant us the non-exclusive right, unrestricted as to territory and limited to the term of the contract, to store and forward it as far as that is necessary for the relay between Minecraft and Discord.

For the bot, the plugin, this website and the associated marks you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right of use as intended. No further rights are granted; source code we publish remains subject to the terms of its respective licence.

Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another state of the European Economic Area, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that state remain unaffected (Article 6 (2) of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008).

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 (1) no. 1 VSBG). The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform was shut down on 20 July 2025.

If the user is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is the provider’s registered seat. For consumers the statutory places of jurisdiction apply.

Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected; the statutory rules take the place of the invalid provision.
