Dashboard

Set up in your browser what the bot does on your Discord server, and decide who on your team can help.

The dashboard works on the same settings as the commands in Discord. Whatever you save here applies there right away. You sign in with your Discord account; there's no separate password.

  1. Open the dashboard and click "Sign in with Discord".
  2. Confirm the sign-in on Discord.
  3. Click "Manage" next to your Discord server. If it says "Bot missing", add the bot with "Invite".

A sign-in lasts 30 days and is extended while you use the dashboard. Under "Signed-in devices" in the account menu you can sign out single devices. "Switch server" in the sidebar takes you back to the server list.

Sections

The sidebar is sorted into groups.

GroupSectionWhat you do there
Minecraft"Overview"How many servers are added and connected, and what's still missing under "To do"
"Servers"The server list, new servers and the "Default address", see Servers
Players"Linked accounts"Which Discord account belongs to which Minecraft name, see Link accounts
Discord"Role sync"What happens when someone gets or loses a role, see Role sync
"Permissions"Which role may trigger which server commands, see Permissions
"Displays"Status embeds and voice channels, see Displays
"Notices & reports"What the bot posts by itself, see Notices
Automation"Flows"Your own automations built from blocks, see Flows
Administration"Access"Which role may do what in the dashboard
"Change log"Who changed what and when, with search and "Export CSV"

Under "Servers" each Minecraft server is listed on its own. Its page has these tabs:

TabContents
"Overview"Name, address, edition, "Status page", "Directory" and "Remove server"
"Connection & chat"Token, chat switches, chat format and chat history, see Chat sync
"Channels"Where this server posts
"Notices"Notices for this server only
"Console"Commands, live output, buttons and schedules, see Console
"Whitelist"Add and remove names, see Whitelist
"Statistics"Player count over time

Watching servers at /dashboard/watch belongs to your account, not to a Discord server. See Watch servers.

Who has access

Anyone who owns the Discord server or has "Administrator" or "Manage Server" there has full access. You don't need to set anything up for that.

Other roles get access under "Access" with "Add role". Each role gets single permissions:

PermissionAllows
"View"Read every section. Every other permission includes it.
"Console"Run commands, manage buttons and schedules
"Whitelist"Add and remove names
"Settings"Change servers, connections, chat format and notices
"Displays"Manage displays and voice channels
"Permissions"Role sync, command permissions and "Access"
"Tokens"Create, renew and set expiry for tokens

Without "Console" the "Console" tab is hidden, without "Permissions" the "Access" section. Everything else stays visible, and the dashboard refuses changes.

The bot checks roles with Discord. If you take a role away from someone there, they lose access within a minute. More on roles and command permissions is under Permissions.

Saving

  • Switches with "On" and "Off" save right away.
  • Forms are saved with "Save". "Saved." shows up afterwards.
  • If someone else saved the same thing after you opened it, a chat format or a display for example, the dashboard shows a notice. "Reload" shows the latest version and discards your input, "Save anyway" overwrites the other change.

Changes made in the dashboard are then listed in the "Change log".

Problems

My Discord server isn't in the list

The list only shows servers where you have "Manage Server" or a role with a permission under "Access". Ask someone with "Manage Server" to give you such a role. New permissions apply within a minute.

A tab says the server needs a connection

"Console" and "Whitelist" only work with the plugin or mod. Click "Connect now" and follow Chat sync.

"Your session has expired"

This happens after a longer break or a bot restart. Sign in again in the new window. Your unsaved input on the page stays where it is.

A change is refused

Your role is missing the matching permission under "Access". Refused attempts are listed in the "Change log" too.
